BNP demands action against officials who rigged polls during AL rule

BNP on Sunday demanded exemplary punishment of officials who were involved rigging elections during Awami League rule.

The demand was made in BNP's proposals for reforming public administration handed to Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Dr Mokhlesur Rahman, by a delegation, led by Ismail Jabiullah, a member of the BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council and a member of the party's Public Administration Reform Committee. 
Later, Ismail Jabiullah told reporters, "The entire administrative structure needs to be revamped. We propose changes be made at all levels of the administration three months before  every election."

The proposals include provisions for mandatory transfer of Deputy Commissioners.

BNP demanded identifying and taking  action against officials who exploited their positions during Awami League  rule to rig and tamper elections.
