Eden College BCL President Riva remanded

The president of Eden Mohila College unit of the banned organization Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Tamanna Jasmine Riva has been placed on a two-day remand in a case filed on charge of attacking the Dhaka University (DU) students.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mostafizur Rahman granted the remand after police produced Riva before the court on Monday seeking 10-day remand.

Earlier, detectives arrested Riva on Sunday night.

Abu Sayad Bin Mahin Sarker, a student of Ziaur Rahman Hall of DU, filed the case with Shahbag Police Station against 391 Awami League and Chhatra League activists.

Riva was a student of the 2009-10 academic session in Department of Marketing of the college.
