Brothers Union, once a powerhouse of local football, had celebrated a 8-0 big margin win over Dhaka Wanderers Club in the ongoing Bashundhara Group Federation Cup 2024-25 on Tuesday at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh.
The Gopibagh boys were in the mood to score as much as they could in the match. Strikers Mustapha and Sazzad made hat-trick scoring three each.
They opened the net in the eight minute with a goal by Rabbi. In the neantime, Mustapha made his hat-trick scoring in the 25th, 65th, and 70th minutes. Sazzad scored his in the 29th, 48th, and 82nd minutes. Nigerian striker Eleta Kingsley Oshiokha finished the show with an injury time score.
Winning the match, Brothers Union moved to the second place on the point table of Group-A. In the group, the race is taking place among Fortis FC, Brothers Union, and Bashundhara Kings. Fortis boys are leading the point table with four points from two matches while Brothers at the second place and Bashundhara at the third places, with three points.
On the other hand, Dhaka Wanderers Club is at the bottom with zero point from a single match.
