RUPGANJ, NARAYANGANJ, Dec 17: Police of Rupganj Police Station (PS) in Rupganj Upazila of the district recovered the body of an unidentified young lady on Tuesday morning.
The body was floating in Rupganj lake in Bourartek area in Sector No. 2 of Purbachal. On information, police lifted the body.
Assistant Police Superintendent (ASP) of Ga-Circle Mehedi Islam said, at 8:30am locals informed about the floating of the unidentified teenager. Police went there and recovered the body.
The body could not be identified instantly and attempt is going on to know her identity, he added.
ASP further said, there are beating scars in different parts of her body. For an autopsy, the body was sent to the morgue of Narayanganj Medical College Hospital.
After getting the autopsy report, the details can be told, the ASP maintained.
