Imam-muezzin killed in Tangail road crash

A mosque imam and muezzin were killed in a road accident in Tangail's Madhupur upazila on Wednesday.

The accident occurred early in the morning on the Tangail-Mymensingh regional highway adjacent to Barabaid orphanage in Madhupur hilly forest area.

The dead were identified as Hafez Habibur Rahman, 20, the imam of the Barbaid Orphanage Mosque, and Hafez Hasan Shirazi, 18, the muezzin. Habibur Rahman hails from Sherpur and Hasan from Nagarpur, Tangail.
