Karail slum fire under control

A fire that erupted in the Karail slum in Bou Bazar area in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon has been brought under control.

The fire, which originated around 4:15 PM na dbeing informed seven units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot, said Rakibul Islam, duty officer of Fire Service control room.

However, they could not immediately confirm the cause of the fire or the extent of damage, the Fire Service official said.

The detailed about the incident will be informed later, he added.
