BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said the BNP's expectations about the roadmap of votes have not been fulfilled.
"The next election is possible within four to six months if the interim government shows sincerity," he said while inaugurating a medical camp at the initiative of Ziaur Rahman Foundation at Korail in Banani in the capital on Wednesday (December 18).
Salahuddin Ahmed also urged the interim government not to apply any tactics in the country's journey towards democracy. "People are eagerly waiting to cast their ballots. So, election must be organized completing the reforms as early as possible."
The BNP leader also alleged that the accomplices of fascist Awami League government fled to India crossing the border due to the failures of different agencies of the government. "But, those who helped them flee the country must be identified."
According to Salahuddin Ahmed, return of the caretaker government system to the constitution is a very positive aspect for the country and the nation.
