Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has arrested two more staff members of Public Service Commission (PSC) in connection with the ongoing question paper leak scandal.
The arrested individuals, identified as Md Abdul Azim, 49, an office assistant in Advertisement Department and Rupan Chandra Das, 44, a sweeper, were apprehended in front of PSC headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Tuesday.
CID officials, led by Special Superintendent Azad Rahman, reported that during the arrest, two mobile phones, multiple question papers from various PSC exams, admit cards, bank cheques, and cash were recovered from the suspects' possession.
The case, originally filed on July 9, 2024, at Paltan Model Police Station, has already seen the arrest of 22 individuals linked to the question paper leak.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspects had been involved in leaking questions for several high-profile recruitment exams, including Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and PSC exams, in exchange for money over the years.
The CID continues to investigate the case with further arrests expected as the authorities aim to uncover the full scope of the leak and bring the responsible parties to justice.
