ACC to probe corruption, abuse of power by ex-NTMC DG Ziaul

The Anti-Corruption Commission, or ACC, has moved to investigate Ziaul Ahsan, the former director general of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre, or NTMC, for amassing illegal wealth through corruption and abuse of power.

The commission's Director General Akhtar Hossain said a three-member probe team had been formed to investigate the allegations against him on Wednesday.
Led by ACC Deputy Director Md Salahuddin, the two other members of the team are Assistant Director Ranjit Kumar Karmarkar and Deputy Assistant Director Md Jabed Hossain Sajal. Ahsan is accused of exploiting power and acquiring illegal assets as well as money laundering.
