Three robbers who entered Keraniganj branch of Rupali Bank Limited to commit robbery have surrendered to the joint forces along with their arms.
They surrendered to the joint forces responding to their request, said RAB-10 CEO Khalilur Rahman Howlader at about 5:30pm.
He said the hostages were rescued from inside the bank unharmed. None of them was injured. The robbers could not commit the robbery or take any amount of money from the bank.
The RAB-10 CEO said the robbers surrendered with arms through talks. Three arms were seized from their possession.
He said the surrendered robbers were identified as Nirob, Niloy and Nibir. All of them aged between 21 and 30 years. All of them had covered their faces with masks. However, the RAB expressed doubt about the identities of the robbers.
Later, the joint forces detained the robbers and took them away from the place of occurrence.
