Cox's Bazar, December 19 - Five people, including a man, his wife, and their child, were killed after a dump truck collided with an autorickshaw in Cox's Bazar's Pekua on Thursday morning.
The accident, which occurred around 7 AM at the Dhoniakata area of the ABC regional highway, also left two others injured. Four of the deceased were identified as autorickshaw driver Monirul Mannan, a resident of Dhoniakata; passengers Firoz, his wife Sharmin, and their child, residents of Chittagong's Hathazari area1.
According to Additional Superintendent of Cox's Bazar police Jashim Uddin Chowdhury, a mini dump truck collided with a CNG-run autorickshaw in the Dhoniakata area at 7 AM. Five people died on the spot, and two others were injured1. Both vehicles were seized, he added.
