Fire at Uttara restaurant brought under control

The fire that broke out at a restaurant at Uttara in Dhaka on Friday morning has been brought under control

Anwarul Islam, a warehouse inspector at the Fire Service and Civil Defence(FSCD) headquarters media cell said at total of 12 units of firefighters from Uttara, Tongi, Baridhara, Kurmitola, Siddiq Bazar promptly went to the scene and brought the blaze under control around 2PM.

Meanwhile, firefighters had rescued seven people from the restaurant during the operation.

Earlier, the fire broke out at Love Leen restaurant around 10:38am, he added.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately. The detailed information about the incident will be disclosed later, he added.
