A court in Dhaka has placed Leon Molla alias Nirob, arrested while trying to commit robbery at Chulkutia-Jinjira Branch of Rupali Bank Limited in Keraniganj of the capital, on a three-day remand.
Besides, recording of the confessional statements of arrested two other juveniles was approved.
On Friday (December 20), investigation officer of the case Dhaka South Keraniganj Police Station's sub-inspector Hiron Kumar Biswas produced them before the court. Then the IO pleaded to the court to place accused Leon Molla on a seven-day remand and recording the confessional statements of two other juveniles.
Responding to the appeal, Dhaka's Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Junayed placed Nirob on a three-day remand. At the same time, he accorded permission to record the confessional statements of other juvenile accused.
Arrested Nirob is the son of Kabir Molla, of village Kumuria under Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district, while two juveniles hail from Kadamtali Khalpar area under South Keraniganj Police Station. Nirob is a driver by profession. One of the rest two others is a Class VII student and another is a madrasa student.
