Cold-hit destitute people including students from ethnic community were given winter clothes in three districts - Gopalganj, Moulvibazar and Khulna.
GOPALGANJ: Winter clothes were distributed among 500 students of 26 educational institutes in Tungipara Upazila of Gopalganj on Friday.
Tungipara Upazila administration organized the distribution programme at the auditorium of Tungipara Multipurpose Super Market in the morning.
Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Qamruzzaman was present as the chief guest while Tungipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Moinul Haque presided over the programme.
Additional DC (Revenue) Sheikh Shamsul Arefin and Tungipara Upazila Education Officer Masudur Rahman, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
KAMALGANJ, MOULVIBAZAR: More than 500 cold-hit helpless people were given winter clothes in Kamalganj Upazila of the district on Friday.
Manobotar Ferrywala Parishad, a social organization, and Sylhet-Kamalganj Association organized the distribution programme at Ward No. 5 Chandipur Borobari under Kamalganj Municipality in the morning.
Police member Siddiqur Rahman, president of the organization presided over the programme.
Ismail Harun, Gazi Salauddin, Gias Uddin, Moshahid Ahmed, Abul Kalam, Aiyub Ali, Khaled Ahmed, and journalists Parvez Ahmed and Salauddin Shuvo, among others, were also present during the distribution.
DUMURIA, KHULNA: Blankets were distributed among cold-hit poor people in Dumuria Upazila of the district on Thursday.
The distribution programme was organized at Tipna Balir Math under Kharnia Union of the upazila at noon with an initiative of Dr Abdullah Yusuf.
Teacher of Dumuria Upazila Model Government Primary School Shafiqul Islam, and President of Kharnia Union's Ward No. 7 Unit of BNP Sheikh Afaz Uddin, among others, were also present during the distribution.
