FARIDPUR, Dec 20: Police arrested two alleged criminals along with a foreign-made pistol from the district town on Friday.
The arrested persons are: Foysal and Nazrul. Both of them are residents of Purba Tepakhola area in the town.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Faridpur Shoilen Chakma confirmed the detention, saying that a team of the law enforcers conducted a drive in the residence of Foysal Purba Tepakhola area following a complaint lodged by his elder sister.
The complaint reads that Foysal pointed a firearm on the forehead of his sister during an altercation between them.
On information, police, later, recovered the foreign-made pistol from an abandoned place adjacent to his house on Friday and arrested the duo in the afternoon, said the ASP.
A case under the Arms Act was filed with the police station concerned against the duo in this regard and legal actions will be taken in this connection, the ASP added.
