Young Tigresses storm into final with dominant win over Nepal

Bangladesh Under-19 Women's Cricket team showcased a dominant performance to secure their spot in the final of the ACC Under-19 Women's Asia Cup with a commanding nine-wicket victory over Nepal Under-19 in the last match of Super-4 stage of the event at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. 

The toss was delayed by one and a half hours due to rain and was reduced to an 11-over-a-side contest. 

However, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field inviting Nepal to bat first. The Girls in Green and Red restricted Nepal to 54 for eight as Nepal's innings was fraught with setbacks losing wickets regularly from the very early. Opener Sabitri Dhami's 11 was the top score, while the remaining batters struggled failing to reach double figures.

Bangladesh's disciplined bowling attack was led by Farjana Easmin, Anisa Akter Soba, Fahomida Choya and Habiba Islam each claiming a wicket.

In response, Bangladesh chased down the target comfortably scoring 58 for one in 9.5 overs. Mosammat Eva contributed 10 runs, while Fahomida Choya and Sumaiya Akther sealed the victory with unbeaten scores of 26 off 32 and 10 off six respectively. 
Fahomida was adjudged Player of the Match for her match-winning knock.

With this emphatic win, Bangladesh advanced to the final of the maiden ACC Under-19 Women's Asia Cup. They will face arch-rivals India in the grand finale on December 22 at the same venue aiming to replicate the success of Bangladesh's Men's Under-19 team, who recently clinched the Asia Cup title earlier this month.
