Uttara restaurant fire doused

A fire that broke out at a restaurant in Dhaka's Uttara on Friday morning was brought under control after almost three and a half hours.

Anwarul Islam, a warehouse inspector at the Fire Service and Civil Defence(FSCD) headquarters media cell said total of 12 units  of firefighters from Uttara, Tongi, Baridhara, Kurmitola, Siddiq Bazar promptly went to the scene and brought the blaze under control around 2:00pm.
Meanwhile, firefighters had rescued seven people from the restaurant during the operation. Earlier, the fire broke out at Love Leen restaurant around 10:38am, he added. 

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately. The detailed information about the incident will be disclosed later, he added.
