Two killed in Tangail road accident

Two people were killed after a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in Ashekpur Bypass area of Tangail town on Saturday morning.
  
The deceased were CNG driver Sohrab Hossain, 55, a resident of Kalihati upazila, and passenger Pradeep Pal, 40, son of Sunil Pal of Karatia area of Sadar upazila.
  
M Saikat Hossin, sergeant of Elenga Highway Thana, said that the incident took place around 9AM when a speedy bus hit the CNG-run auto rickshaw while it was crossing the road, leaving its driver and passenger critically injured.
 
The injured were taken to Tangail Medical College Hospital where Sohrab Hossain was declared dead  and later Pradeep succumbed to his injuries on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
