Rahmatganj climbs to second place beating Brothers

Old Dhaka's pride Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society moved to the second place on the point table of Bangladesh Premier League Football following a 3-1 win over Brothers Union on Saturday at the Shaheed Birsreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj. 

Rahmatganj scored in the second minute of the game thanks to a goal from Ghanaian recruit Samuel Boateng. That was the only noteworthy aspect in the first half of the match.

In the second half, Gopibagh's Brothers Union levelled the margin with a 70-minute goal by Senegalese midfielder Cheikh Sene.
 
Rahmatganj went ahead once again with a 80-min goal by Nabib Newaz Jiban. It was Samuel Boateng who scored his second and team's third in the sixth minute of the injury time. 

In the other match of the day, Fakirerpool Young Men's Club outplayed Chittagong Abahani by 2-0 at the Mymensingh district stadium, Mymensingh. Sayem and Jokmonov netted one each for the win. 

The Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka saw a 1-1 tie between Dhaka Wanderers Club and Fortis Football Club. 

Sakib Bepari scored for Dhaka Wanderers in the 37th minute while Ukrainian midfielder Valerii Hryshyn netted the equaliser for Fortis Football in the 52nd minute.
