Shop looted in Shariatpur 

SHARIATPUR, Dec 21: Robbers looted goods worth about Tk 35 lakh and Tk 1.26 lakh in cash from a shop in Naria Upazila of the district early Saturday.

The incident took place at Bhojeshwar Bazar in the upazila at around 2 am.

It was known that a group of robbers broke open the gate of 'Ma Traders' at Bhojeshwar Bazar and looted the goods and cash money. They then fled away on a truck, said Sohel Melkar, owner of Ma Traders.
Local traders alleged that police were present at that time, but did not even try to stop the robbers.

Sub-Inspector of Bhojeshwar Police Station Sikder Harun Or Rashid said that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and filing of a case is underway in this connection.
