The people of Panchagarh district are having a hard time as a mild cold wave has hit the area again, just two days after the previous one.
Although the temperature rises and people feel better due to the sun after 9:00am, the cold returns in the evening.
At around 9:00am on Sunday, the Tetulia Weather Observation Center recorded a temperature of 9.4°C in the area, which had been above 10°C degree for the last two days.
A mild cold wave has been affecting the residents of the district since December 13.
Locals said that they are facing severe cold during the night, thank to the cold wave.
Seasonal winds from the northern part of the country are intensifying the freezing conditions, adding to the cold wave.
Jintendra Nath Roy, acting official of theTetulia Meteorological Department, said, "The temperature has been recorded at 9.4°C on Sunday morning, which is the lowest in the country. A mild cold wave has been passing over the district since December 13. The highest temperature was 27.5°C on Saturday."
