Salman, Anisul, 6 others shown arrested in fresh murder cases

Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq and Hasanul Haque Inu among eight individuals were shown arrested in fresh cases filed over the murders that took place during the student-led July-August mass uprising.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the orders on Monday as police produced the eight accused before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the cases.

The other accused were -- Rashed Khan Menon, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, Major General (sacked) Ziaul Ahsan, and Md Sadek Khan.

Of the eight accused --- Salman F Rahman, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Anisul Huq and Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun were shown arrested in the case lodged with the Jatrabari Police Station in Dhaka over the killing of Jisan.

Md Sadek Khan was shown arrested in Rokon murder case in Mohammadpur and Ziaul Ahsan was shown arrested in another murder case filed with the same police station.

Former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak was shown arrested in Md Shamim murder case filed with the capital's New Market Police Station.
