Elderly woman killed in Dinajpur road accident

An elderly woman was killed after a sand-laden truck hit a motorcycle at Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur distrtict on Monday afternoon. 

The accident took place in Chandanpara area on the Parbatipur-Phulbari highway. 
The deceased was identified as Parbin Begum, 60, a resident of Saidpur upazila.

It was learnt that Parvin Begum was going to visit doctor in Birampur with her son riding on a motorcycle. A tractor coming from the opposite direction hit their motorcycle in the area, leaving her dead on the spot and Adnan was critically injured. 

Abdus Salam, officer-in-charge of Parbatipur Model Police Station, confirmed the matter.
