A young man and a minor child were found dead in separate incidents in two districts - Khagrachhari and Mymensingh.
DIGHINALA, KHAGRACHHARI: Police recovered the hanging body of a young man from Dighinala Upazila in the district on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Hanif, 27, son of Md Jalal, a resident of Ward No. 8 under Boalkhali Union. He was a member of Ansar and VDP.
It was known that Hanif had been missing since Sunday afternoon.
Later on, locals spotted Hanif's body hanging from a branch of a tree near Islam Shibir graveyard of the area in the morning and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Khagrachhari Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dighinala Police Station (PS) Md Zakaria confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter.
BHALUKA, MYMENSINGH: Police recovered the body of a minor boy, who went missing on Friday last, from a fish enclosure in Bhaluka Upazila of the district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Reduwan, 8, son of Ashraful Alam of Bahuli area in the upazila.
The deceased's family sources said that Reduwan along with his mother went to visit his maternal grandparents' house in Nishinda area recently. On Friday noon, he went missing from there.
His father lodged a general diary with Bhaluka Model PS. Meanwhile, an unknown caller demanded Tk 40,000 from Reduwan's family as ransom mentioning that the child will return home if money arrived.
Later on, locals spotted the body of Redwuan floating in a fish enclosure at Nishinda on Sunday and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body at night and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Bhaluka Model PS OC Shamsul Huda confirmed the incident.
