Old Dhaka's Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society and Mohammedan Sporting Club had celebrated 6-0 big margin wins in the ongoing Bashundhara Group Federation Cup 2024- 25 on Tuesday at separate venues in Mymensingh and Dhaka.
Following a hat-trick of Nabib Newaz Jiban, Rahmatganj MFS won the match over Fakirerpool Young Men's Club 6-0 at the Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh. Nabib scored in the injury time of the first half, in the 56th, and 75th minutes. Opi scored in the 12th, Samuel in the 53rd, and Toha scored the team's sixth goal in the injury time of the second half.
On the other hand, in Dhaka, Mohammedan SC registered a 6-0 win against Chittagong Abahani when six individual players of the team had the opportunity to score one each.
In the match, Muzaffarov Muzaffarjon, Souleyman Diabate, Arif Hossain, Razu Ahmed Zisan, Sourav Dewan, and Jewel Mia netted the ball once each.
Winning the matches, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society and Mohammedan Sporting Club both moved atop the group point table to keep ahead of others.
At this moment, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society is leading the group with six points from two matches. The traditional black and white outfits are right behind with three points from two matches. However, arch rival, Dhaka Abahani is not far behind with three points from a single match. Seems that the three are the actual competitors for the two top spots. Only two will get tickets to the next round.
