GAIBANDHA, Dec 24: Speakers on Monday at a function in the district said, learning from experienced men can make inexperienced staffs efficient in tackling  emergency situations including flood.

"Experience is a better tool which helps anyone tackle or operate any kind of hazard effectively. The experience which has been achieved earlier through conducting the organizational works by the stakeholders can make the inexperienced staff skilled in order to tackle the emergency", they added.
They made this remark while addressing a day-long advocacy workshop on learning sharing, held in the conference room of SKS Inn in Radhakrishnapur area, a suburb of the town.

German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) Multi-Hazard Anticipatory Action Initiatives in Bangladesh arranged the workshop under the project 'Child-Centred Anticipatory Action for Better Preparedness of Communities and Local Institutions in Northern and Coastal Areas of Bangladesh'.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Mohammad Shafiqul Islam inaugurated the function as the chief guest.
