The first phase of viva voce of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exams will begin on January 5.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published a schedule to resume the postponed viva of the 44th BCS, a notice said on Tuesday (December 24) night.
The first phase viva will be held at the PSC head office at Agargaon in Dhaka. Of the 5,862 candidates, who passed the written tests, the viva voce of 1,890 will take place from January 5 to February 5 in the first phase.
A total of 105 candidates will be interviewed daily.
The schedule of the remaining candidates will be notified later.
Earlier the PSC on July 21 postponed the viva voce of the 44th BCS that began on May 8 amid the violence centring the quota reform movement. Later, on July 7, the commission suspended rest tests for an indefinite period.
On November 18, the constitutional body in a meeting scrapped the oral exam of 3,930 candidates, who sit for it till the date, saying all the 11,732 candidates who passed the written exam of 44th BCS will be called for the viva voce again.
