Foreigners staying illegally asked to obtain legal docs by Jan 31

The government has asked the foreign nationals, who are residing and working in Bangladesh without proper documentation, to obtain legal documents by January 31, 2025.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a warning notice, signed by Md Khuda Baksh Chowdhury, Special Assistant to Chief Adviser (Equivalent to State Minister, in this regard on Thursday (December 26).

The ministry said that legal action will be taken against those, both undocumented foreign nationals and the institutions employing or harbor them, if they fail to comply by the deadline.

Besides, the ministry also requested all concerned departments and institutions to assist in ensuring the foreign nationals comply with the deadline.
