The advisory council held an emergency meeting on Thursday chaired by Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at state guest house, Jamuna, to discuss the issue of fire on Building No. 7 of Bangladesh Secretariat.
Advisers present in Dhaka attended the, according to CA Office sources.
The meeting over, briefing reporters at Foreign Service Academy in the evening, Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that the high-powered probe committee formed by the government would submit its primary report within next three days.
"We want a thorough and extensive investigation. The government is giving the highest importance to the matter. The probe body has been given seven working to submit its report, but it would submit initial report within next three days," she said.
She requested journalists to wait for answers to their questions until the probe committee submits its report.
She said that the media will get copies of probe committee report.
Meanwhile, Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan told reporters that those, involved in hatching conspiracies against the interim government would get no concession.
Asif, also the youth and sports adviser, returned to Dhaka in the morning suspending his programmes in northern districts, said a release.
He said, "The plot of the conspirators has not stopped yet. No concession will be given to anyone involved in this conspiracy against us."
Regarding the fire incident, Asif said, "We were working on past corruption and evidence of looting of several thousand crore taka has been found."
"The damage caused by the fire is not yet known. A committee has been formed to investigate into the fire incident," he added.
