Two committees have been formed by the Labour and Employment Ministry to assess the damages caused by the fire that broke out at the Building No 7 of Bangladesh Secretariat where the ministry located.
Joint secretary Begum Morsheda Akter was made convener of a 5-member committee which is formed to determine the extent of damage to the documents and important records of the ministry.
The committee has to submit recommendations on what to do to prevent damage due to any future accidents, said a press release.
Other members of the committee are – senior assistant secretary Mohammad Masum, deputy secretary Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, senior assistant secretary Purabi Golder and assistant secretary Md Mostafizur Rahman
Meanwhile, Joint Secretary Md Abdus Samad Al Azad was made as convener of another committee which has been formed to assess the extent of damage to the ministry's assets.
Other members of the committee are -- deputy secretary Md Kamal Hossain, deputy secretary Mohammad Saidur Rahman, system analyst Sukanta Basak, assistant maintenance engineer ASM Mehrab Hossain.
The two committees have been asked to submit reports within next seven working days.
