Couple held with heroin in Rangpur

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a drive arrested a couple with 351.38 grams of contraband heroin from Satmatha More area in Rangpur City on Thursday evening.

On a tip-off, a smart operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialized Company of RAB-13 conducted the drive, recovered 351.38 grams of heroin and arrested the couple red-handed from the spot, according to a press release.
 
The arrested persons are Md Jahangir Alam ,36, and his wife Sabina Begum, 32, of Rajarampur Village in Sadar Upazila of Chapainawabganj District.
After filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 against the arrested accused, the elite force handed them over to Mahiganj Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police, the release also said.
