BGB, Ansar retain V-Day Handball title

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in men's section and Bangladesh Ansar and VDP in women's section retained title of Victory Day Handball competition beating their respective rivals in the finals held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Friday.

In the men's section final, BGB beat Bangladesh Ansar and VDP by 30-27 goals after leading the first half by 15-10 goals.
Tariqur Rahman of BGB was named the best player of the final.
While in the women's section final, Bangladesh Ansar defeated Bangladesh Police Handball Club by 33-15 goals after dominating the first half by 16-9 goals.

Alpona Akter of the winning team was adjudged the best player of the match.

Bangladesh Handball Federation general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor was the chief guest in the finals and distributed the prizes.     —BSS
