The country reported zero death from dengue in the 24 hours leading up to Friday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.
As there were no new fatalities, the dengue death toll for the year remained unchanged at 569.
Meanwhile, 53 new patients were hospitalised during this period, bringing the total number of dengue cases in Bangladesh this year to 100,764.
Of the new cases, 18 were reported in the Dhaka North City Corporation, while 7 others were hospitalised in the Dhaka South City Corporation. —UNB
Currently, 770 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 1,705 people, making it the deadliest year on record.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), there were 321,179 dengue cases and 318,749 recoveries in 2023.
