Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leaders and activists who were not given a berth in the newly-announced convening committee of its Dhaka College unit on Friday staged protests on the campus and adjacent area for the fourth consecutive day.

The disgruntled JCD men demanded dissolution of the committee, alleging that many of the leaders of the committee were involved in corruption and inactive during the Hasina's 16-year fascist regime.
The protesters claimed that seasoned and dedicated leaders were overlooked to favour those with affiliations to the terrorist organiastion, Chhatra League.

After Jum'ma prayers, the disgruntled leaders and activists brought out a protest march from Nayem's Goli near the college. The march, led by former Vice President of Dhaka College Chhatra Dal, Tajbiul Hasan, along with Vice Presidents Abir Raihan and Mehedi Hasan, passed through Science Lab and concluded in front of the main gate of Dhaka College. Over fifty activists participated in the protest.

In protest of what they term as a biased and discriminatory committee, Dhaka College witnessed protests over the last three days, including marches, road blockages, setting fires and burning of effigies. The new committee has been declared 'unwanted' by the protesters.
