Another Bangladeshi youth 'shot dead by Indian Khasias' on Sylhet border

Another Bangladeshi youth has been killed by gunfire allegedly from Indian Khasia community at the Dumdumia border area at Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet.

The deceased was identified as Sabuj Mia, 20, a resident of Phitorgul Pahartoli village in Gowainghat.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and police recovered the body after Sabuj Mias associates brought it inside the Bangladesh territories around 11:45PM Friday.
Sylhet BGB-48 Battalion captain Lt Col Hafizur Rahman confirmed his death to media.

Gowainghat Police Station OC Sarkar Tofail Ahmed said Sabuj Mia's father Abul Hossain filed a general diary with the police station.

Earlier, a Bangladeshi teenager named Maruf Mia, 16, was 'shot dead by the Indian Khasi' people at around 12:50PM Thursday. He was from the Jhingabari village in Jointapur.
