Juba Dal leader killed over trivial matter in Kurigram

A local Juba Dal leader was killed by his rivals over a trivial matter at Ulipur upazila in Kurigram district on Friday night. 

The incident happened at around 7:00PM on the Thana road in the Ulipur municipal area.

The deceased was identified as Ashraful Alam, the son of Aynal Haque, a resident of the area. He was the joint secretary of the Ulipur municipal Juba Dal unit. 

It was learnt that he was attacked by his rivals over a trivial matter, which left him critically injured. 

Locals rescued him and took him to the upazila halth complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. 

Abdur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Ulipur Police Station, confirmed the matter.
