Indian goods worth Tk 3.5cr seized in B'baria

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 1,37,976 pieces of Indian smuggled city gold products from Bijoynagar upazila in Brahmanbaria district early Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the BGB conducted a raid in Chandura Bypass area under Chandura union in the upazila at around 5:00 AM. Sensing the presence of the BGB, the smugglers fled from the scene, leaving behind the products.

The estimate market value of the city gold is Tk 3,44,94,000.

The information was provided through a press release by BGB-25.
