A student of Kabi Nazrul College was killed and another injured after a truck hit their motorcycle in Targacha area of Gazipur district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Asif Adnan, 20, son of Ami Sharif, hailed from Laxmipur district. He used to live in a rented house with his parents in the area.
Md Ataur Rahman, a friend of the deceased, said that a speeding truck hit their motorcycle in the area while they were on their way to visist the area, leaving them critically injured.
On information, we rushed there and took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctors declared Asif dead.
The injured Hasan is receiving treatment at the DMCH.
Md Faruque, in charge of the DMCH Police Outpost, confirmed the matter.
