A farmer was beaten to death by his neighbor over a land dispute at at Ghior upazila in Manikganj district on Saturday noon.
The incident happened at around 1:00PM at Bailtala village ubder Singjuri union in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Mozaffar Ali, 55, a resident of the area.
Locals said that there had been a longstanding dispute between Mozaffar and his neighbor Abdur Rahmna over the boundary of their houses. On Saturday noon, Abdur Rahman beat Mozaffar with an iron rod when Mozaffar stopped his from lifting a boundary pole, leaving Mozaffar dead on the spot.
On information, police visited the crime scene, but they have not received any allegations in this incident yet, said Md Rafiqul Islam,officer-in-charge of Ghior Police Station.
