Fire at Mohakhali building doused

The fire that broke out at a residential building behind Sattola slum at Mohakhali in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon has been brought under control.

Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense control room, said that the fire broke out on the second floor of the building around 4PM. Being informed, two units of fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze around 4:50pm.

She, however, said the reason behind the fire and the extent of the damages were not immediately known.
