PSTU DD Abu Hanif killed in road accident

DASHMINA, PATUAKHALI, Dec 28: Deputy Director (DD) of the Physical Education Department at Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) Md Abu Hanif was killed in a road accident in Nalchity Upazila of Jhalakathi early Saturday. 

The accident took place in Dapdapia Zero Point area on the Barishal-Patuakhali highway under Nalchity Upazila at around 12 am. 
Deceased Md Abu Hanif, 46, was the son of Amjad Ali Mridha of Ward No. 9 Machhuakhali Village under Betagi Sankipur Union in Dashmina Upazila of Patuakhali. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nalchity Police Station (PS) Md Abdus Salam said that Abu Hanif was heading towards Barishal from Patuakhali riding on a motorcycle. 

On the way, his motorcycle hit a truck which was standing beside the road in Dapdapia Zero Point area after losing his control over the steering. He died on the spot.

His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held on the PSTU Central Mosque premises at 9 am, and second on Dashmina Government Model High School ground at around 11 am. 

After his third Namaz-e-Janaza, Abu Hanif was buried at his family graveyard in Machhuakhali Village at 3 pm on Saturday.

He left behind his parents, wife, one son, two daughters, a host of relatives, and many well-wishers to mourn his death.

Vice-Chancellor of PSTU Professor Dr Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Register Dr Aminul Islam Tito, and Member of BNP's National Executive Committee Hasan Mamun expressed deep grieves and condolences to the bereaved family members.
