IDLC Investments appoints Mesbah Uddin as MD

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of IDLC Investments Limited to be effective immediately. This appointment follows the recommendation of the Board and approval from Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, who was previously serving as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Head of Retail Business at IDLC Finance PLC since August 1, 2024, brings to his new role a wealth of experience and an impressive track record in the financial sector management, says a press release. 
Prior to IDLC, Mesbah Uddin Ahmed served as Head of Syndication and Structured Finance at Dhaka Bank Limited and held other key positions at National Bank Limited and One Bank Limited. 

He began his career as sales and marketing officer at Singapore Airlines in 1995. He holds an MBA from London University of Technology and Research (1998) and a Master's degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Dhaka (1991).
