Fire at Mohakhali building doused

The fire that broke out at a building behind Sattola slum in the capital's Mohakhali area on Saturday afternoon has been extinguished.

The fire broke out on the second floor of the building around 4:10 pm, said Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense control room.

On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze around 4:50pm. The origin of the fire and the extent of the damages were not immediately known, she added. —UNB
