Dengue: 1 dies, 104 hospitalised

Another person has died of dengue while 104 new patients have been hospitalised with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease across Bangladesh over the past 24 hours.

The number of patients hospitalised with the disease this year has risen to 100,868. The total number of deaths from the illness now stands at 570.

The Directorate General of Health Services, or DGHS, said as many as 43 new patients were hospitalised in the Dhaka metropolitan area until Saturday.

In addition, 33 were hospitalised in the Dhaka Division, three each in the Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions, seven in the Chattogram Division, two in the Khulna Division, and 13 in the Barishal Division.    —bdnews24.com
