Husband dies while riding motorcycle, wife injured in Jamalpur

A teacher couple in Jamalpur Sadar Upazila met with an accident while out for a ride on a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the husband.

The accident occurred in the evening on the Jamalpur-Mymensingh highway in Maheshpur Kalibari area underJamalpur Sadar Upazila.
The teacher's wife is undergoing treatment in a hospital with serious injuries. However, the injured wife still does not know about her husband's death.

The dead teacher Raju Ahmed was a teacher at Jamalpur Government Zaheda Safir Women's College after being recommended by the 40th BCS Education Cadre. The injured wife, Sadia Akter, is working as an assistant teacher at Beltia Government Primary School in Jamalpur Municipality.

According to local sources, Raju Ahmed left his house for a ride on a motorcycle with his wife in the afternoon. His wife Sadia Akter fell from the back seat of his motorcycle while returning home on the Jamalpur-Mymensingh road. While looking back, he lost control over the vehicle and collided with roadside electric pillar, causing severe head injuries.

Later, locals rescued the two and took them to a private hospital. Later, the doctor declared Raju Ahmed dead.
