Former municipal mayor held in Jamalpur

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Abdul Kader Sheikh, the former mayor of Islampur municipality, on Saturday night.

He was arrested from a house in Dawanpara, located within the Islampur municipal area.

He was later sent to court after being shown arrested a case filed over an attack on students during student movement, said Saifullah Shaif, officer-in-charge of Islampur Police Station.
