4 shops gutted in Gopalganj

Four shops were completely gutted in a fire that broke out at Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district on Sunday noon.

The incident happened at Jaynagar Bazar in the upazila.

Fire service officials said that the fire originated from a shop due to an electrical short circuit and quickly spread to other shops, leaving four shops completely gutted before being extinguished by the Fire Service.

The victims' shop owners claimed that the estimated loss from the fire was around Tk 5 lakh.
