Youth cut by train in Jhenaidah

A youth was crushed under the wheels of a train at Kaliganj upazila in Jhenaidah district on Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 3:00PM in Babra area near Mubarakganj Railway Station in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Arafat Hossain, 20, son of Shafiuddin, a resident of Arpara village of the upazila.

The accident took place when a Rajshahi-bound train from Khulna crushed the youth in the area, said Touhidur Rahman, station master of Mubarakganj Railway Station.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue.
