4 shops gutted by fire in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, Dec 29: Four shops were completely gutted by fire that broke out in Kashiani Upazila of the district on Sunday. 

The incident took place at Jaynagar Bazar in the upazila at noon. 

Fire Service officials said that the fire originated from a shop due to an electrical short circuit and quickly spread to other shops of the market, which left four shops completely gutted before being extinguished by the Fire Service. 
The affected shop owners claimed that the estimated loss from the fire was around Tk 5 lakh.
