Dear Sir,
The recent dengue outbreak continues to affect many lives across Bangladesh. On Friday alone, 104 new dengue patients were admitted to various hospitals, with one patient succumbing to the disease. Dhaka north and south cities have seen significant numbers, along with other divisions including Barishal, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Mymensingh.
On a positive note, 153 dengue patients have been discharged during the same period, contributing to a total of 99,578 recoveries this year. However, the total number of dengue cases admitted to hospitals has reached a staggering 1,00,868, with 570 fatalities.
These statistics from the Directorate General of Health Services highlight the urgent need for enhanced dengue prevention and control measures. Public awareness, timely medical intervention, and community efforts are crucial to combat this ongoing health crisis and prevent further loss of lives. Let's work together to protect our communities from this devastating disease.
